Marched in the parade last night, WOW. The energy was thru the roof. The 104* weather was a bit much.
Y’all means ALL!

It’s really crazy how pride has been co-opted by #brands.

So excited for Atlanta's parade in October! I've never marched in it, but it's super fun as a spectator.

I thinks its amazing that companies are not only supportive, but also are investing in diversity.

I dunno, I personally think its just a token donation. Things are not changing behind the scenes of large cooperations because they pumped out some t-shirts

When I was growing up, it would have helped me immensely to see a company acknowledge my existence, let alone actively try to court me as a customer.

My partner marched with his employer this year, the first time he’s ever actually marched in a pride parade. I’m really proud of him. I don’t know if I would ever be comfortable marching in any parade, because introvert.

I mean I see your side, but here my company paid the slot for the parade, truck and float, tons of handouts, and rented an entire bar for an after party. They truly are invested in their employees.

Im glad to hear that! And to be clear, any funding for this cause, regardless or reasoning is a net gain which I support.

Companies are amoral and just do whatever is in their own self interest.
What’s heartening to me is that they have looked at their employees and customers and decided that it *was* in their own self interest to support the LGBTQ community- a recognition that they have power and support. In the long term, that will help win out over fear and bigotry. But we ain’t there yet.
